First Thing

First thing in the morning I tend to be surrounded by vermin, attracted in turn by the filth and detritus that surrounds me. I am acutely aware that these creatures have more freedom than I do, and are thus superior to me - as evidenced by the fact that for the most part they scatter as soon as a proper human being appears on the scene.

Unlike them, I cannot move!
