Looked Down Upon With Contempt

A public humble-head is viewed with contempt both by the persons who stop to have their feet kissed and by passers-by

Humbly kissing feet in the subway

The slave is dutifully focussed on showing respect for his betters

He admires their shoes and socks...

...since they are the shoes and socks of his superiors!

The wearers of the shoes and socks, however, look down upon him with contempt

And rightly so - for he is contemptible...

...a contemptible and lowly humble-head!

A mere slave

No wonder his betters despise him...

...and take great pleasure out of seeing him humiliated!

He is less than their shoes...

...and inferior to their socks!
