The dirty public humble-head slave is, quite rightly,
treated like dirt in a dirty part of town. He even tastes dirt – the dirt on
his customers’ shoes. And their SHOES and SOCKS form his permanent vista!
Here we see a man waiting patiently for his turn to have his
sneakers lickshined. Haha, the slave will not only get a taste of the man’s common
and everyday sneaker-dirt; he will also get an eyeful of the man’s SOCKS!
