His plea not to be WHIPPED is intoned as a question - as befits a slave

For it is NOT for the slave to tell his mistress what to do!

After all, they are the ones encouraging the WHIPPER to WHIP!

Haha, I'll wager the slave's lowly, trembling lips have already embraced those manly SHOES and SOCKS on many an ignominious occasion?
