Neither Here Nor There

I very much enjoy the company of my betters, but I must acknowledge that they are, by definition, not my friends. I do so, of course, by humbly and respectfully kissing their dirty BOOTS and SHOES on their FEET!

A stranger approaches me late at night - my BETTER; not my friend!

I brace my lips for some slavish kiss-respecting of her BOOTS

The BOOTS stop directly in front of me, as if showing off their SCUFFMARKS and DIRTINESS!

Then the RIGHT BOOT is unceremoniously shoved onto my menial mouth

Swiftly followed by the LEFT female BOOT!

I'm gratified to note that, as I am feverishly kiss-respecting the muddy BOOT-TOE...

...the top of the customer's SOCK is just visible thanks to the temporary riding up of her jean leg!

Not that the pretty wearer of the SOCK is even aware of its exposure to my face!

Nor does she care!

She is entirely focused on the contents of her phone, as she jolly well should be!

For I am a nothing and a nobody, and the fact I can see her SOCK is neither here nor there!

When she switches FEET again, her RIGHT SOCKTOP is slightly less visible

Again, this is neither here nor there!

But it means the world to me - just to be able to see a tiny sliver of a customer's SOCK!

She turns to leave

No friendly words of departure. And nor should there be. My esteemed customer is not my friend!

I continue to humbly and respectfully look up to her SOCK

Indeed, I feel a foolish sense of slavish awe and wonderment at being able to view such a pretty stranger's SOCK at such close quarters, and especially when my unworthy mouth still tastes of her DIRTY BOOTLEATHER!
