Guttersnipe-Slave
The dirty guttersnipe-slave must lie on his back in the gutter looking up at the feet of his betters - all day and all night! He survives on the dirt and detritus falling from the bottoms of their shoes as they walk over him - humble, bitter fare made all the more humiliating by the delicious food and drink smells wafting down from the adjacent cafe!
Note how the two young women in this scene don't care about the plight of the slave. The one seated at the cafe has, literally, turned her back on him, whilst the young lady walking over him is oblivious to his suffering, so engrossed is she in her conversation with her boyfriend over the phone. And quite right too - for the guttersnipe-slave is a nothing and a nobody. He is just a thing; a part of the street furniture; a human sewer!
