Old Shoelick (ii)
‘Shine my ballet flats, old shoelick. Make sure you clean underneath the buckles and all around the rims. But DON’T touch my socks with your dirty slave tongue!’
‘Yes, miss. I mean, no miss. Sorry, miss. I’m frightened of you, miss. Oh your socks, miss, your precious socks! Please don’t hurt me, miss! You’re better than me, miss, and you are my master.’
Ha! Ha! Old Rustyneck the shoelick is certainly being put in his rightful place by this superb young woman! Just think – in ten years’ time, when she is still only in her early thirties, he will be in his mid eighties (if he’s still alive) and still taking orders from his betters!
