Absorbed & Obsessed

The public humble-head is absorbed and obsessed by his customer's feet and footwear - largely thanks to the concentrator device affixed to his temples which delivers a powerful (and exceedingly painful) electric shock to his brain should his menial mind stray for even one second from the subject of his customers' shoes and socks. Plus, of course, he has to listen to a perpetual loop of the word 'socks' spoken in a female voice and played continuously through his headphones. So little chance of him being distracted - and especially with such a nice pair of sneakers and socks positioned directly in front of him!

I must humbly kneel on the pavement next to my mistress’s feet and kiss-respect her sandalled toes whilst she converses with her boyfriend above me. Mistress isn’t interested in my conversation.
