Slave Hole

‘Slave Holes’ are places where decrepit old slaves are effectively put out to pasture. Still capable of kissing feet, but little else, they are semi-abandoned and required to merely kiss their betters’ feet for the remainder of their lowly days. When the slave eventually dies, the hole is bricked up and becomes his ignominious tomb.
