Basement Bed

My basement bed is not exactly the most comfortable place of repose! For starters, the basement is freezing cold, such that my master and mistress never come down to visit me without having their winter jackets on. Secondly, I am compelled to lie on a bed of cold, rough wood. I suppose I should be grateful that I do not have to lie on my back on the cold, concrete floor, but the wood is chapped and jagged and splinters often dig into my bony old back!
