The Footblock Is My Friend

The footblock is my friend

For it frames the feet I worship

The shoes and socks

And sandals and crocs

That brighten up my miserable day!

Even when they are gone

Their dirt stains linger on.

I study the dirt of my betters

From the soles of their boots and shoes

A better way of lowly living

I could not hope to choose!

For I am a natural slave

A kisser of feet and of shoes

And my male and female customers

Make for my everyday muse!

My everyday muse
