But for now his humble task is to simply STUDY them

And he does so diligently!

It also explains why the pathetic SOCKSLAVE doesn't dare look at his pretty mistress above the SOCKS

It must be tempting for the lowly slave to do so, for his mistress is immensely pretty...

...though she remains focussed on the cinema screen in front of her

Yes, it's thanks to her skill and dexterity with the WHIP that the sockslave knows his lowly place!
