A Righteous mistress warns her slave about her husband’s
WHIP:
‘Observe the WHIP of your master, slave, and tremble!
Kiss thou the feet of thy Righteous mistress if thou wishest to avoid the WHIP’S
mighty STING!’
The slave does indeed wish to avoid the STING of the WHIP – very much
so – and thus he takes his Righteous mistress up on her kind advice, and duly
kisses her BOOTS!
He is, of course, wise to do so, for it is better to KISS FEET than FEEL
WHIP!
