The slave must be punished!

Don’t be fooled by the mistress’s white socks and dungarees,
She can whip like the best of them, if you please!
And after she has hurt him, and brought him to his knees,
She will use her short socks as a bargaining tease:
‘Slave, kiss my bare ankle, above my white sock,
Or I’ll whip you again, as an aftershock!’
