The bright Japanese lady doesn't speak any English and therefore barks her orders down at me in Japanese:

奴隷、私の靴をきれいにする！

I, being thick, don’t speak Japanese. Nevertheless, there is no language barrier between us as it’s obvious what I must do – her shoes are dirty and must be cleaned.
