The Gentler Sex
Normally, in most scenarios involving corporal punishment, one would expect the female present to have a mollifying effect on the severity of the punishment, as she intercedes with the beater on behalf of the punishee, exhorting the former to have mercy on the latter.
NOT in the Gynarchy of Barbaria, I’m pleased to say! Indeed, quite the opposite is often the case. Here, for example, we see the lady of the house revelling in her slave’s punishment at the hands of her macho husband. She is asking the slave whether he is enjoying his punishment, and is the pain sharp enough for him or would he like some more?
And all the while the slave is positioned so that he must observe his mistress’s pretty shoes and feet. Indeed, he ends up kissing them, for whilst it may be true that it is the mighty master-sir who is wielding the cane, it is undoubtedly the mistress-madam who is calling the shots and to whose sweet feminine mercy the household slave is beholden. And that mercy is, as we can see, vanishingly small!
