Humble Sock-Studier

An elderly male slave,  his back marked by the WHIP (for he has been subjected to many whippings during his lowly lifetime) must humbly kneel and study his mistress’s sock as she relaxes on a park bench chatting to her friends on her phone high above him.

Note how the slave must study her lower sock – the one closest to the ground – whilst her upper sock is, symbolically as well as literally, above him. That’s because, in Law, her socks are considered to be more important than him, and are certainly worth more than him and are more intelligent than him, being the socks of a young woman.

The slave is, wisely, concentrating on a pronounced crease in his mistress's sock

For there is much to study and admire in a girl's sock crease!

The way the crease interrupts the flow of the stitching, for example

Oh, if only he were in a position to compare and contrast the creases in her upper sock...

...the sock he is not worthy to look up at...

...just as he is not worthy to look up at the sock-wearer!

That sock is too good for him - being high above his humble, kneeling head!

Meanwhile, everyday life in the park goes on...

...with a real man going about his manly business. 

You wouldn't catch him on his hands and knees, studying a young woman's sock!

Sock-studying is reserved for slaves!
