In Ancient Rome, a lowly Roman footslave washes his pretty mistress's feet, under the watchful eye of her husband!

This is a slave under pressure...

...the pressure of doing a good job in gently washing his pretty mistress's feet in front of her husband!

The slave knows only too well the master-sir shan't hesitate to beat him if he fails to please his pretty wife!

And the master-sir himself has very high standards (as the slave knows from having to wash his master's own feet on many occasions!)

Gingerly, and respectfully, the slave soaps his mistress's soft, bare feet in the water

Note the blood stains on his tunic - a reminder to him of previous beatings, should he need any reminding!

It was, presumably, the master-sir who administered those beatings?

I mean, he looks like a man who doesn't suffer slaves gladly!

Whereas the pretty mistress-madam looks so sweet and innocent!

I'll wager she has never wielded a whip across a slave's back?

Then again, you should never judge a book by its cover!

Whoever administers the punishment beatings, this slave would do well to be pleasing to his masters!
